design, art and experimentation

Throughout my time as a student designer, I have come to embrace an experimental approach to my work. The design process is anything but a straight line, but compared to the result, it is a lot more rewarding. To me, the cycle of research, experimentation, and discovery provides something very valuable: an element of surprise. I want to integrate this sense of discovery into my spaces. Using computational design, I abstract forms and hack materiality to develop thought-provoking moments and experiences for the users. This allows me to take risks and push the boundaries of what interior design is and what it can be. Through my experiments, I design spaces that instigate cultural discussion and create positive change.
