In this project, I had to take an object and change the surface of it. This could be through color, texture, form etc.
Some of the objects I chose to resurface. I think I spent too much time looking for objects that I did not have any time left to resurface them. Also, I was collecting without any consideration to what I might resurface them with, which meant that I did not use them later on.
I resurfaced this head phone using bubble wrap. Not too interesting, so I did not develop it.
I came up with the idea of using water containers and resurfacing them with artificial turf. This was much better than my previous ideas because there was an already established link between water and grass so the visuals were not only unexpected but also made sense.
This was another failed attempt. I was really excited about this. I wanted to use sand to cover the water container completely, but that only resulted in a very slowly, sticky situation.
The final outcome. Even though I was not entirely happy with it, it was the only attempt successful attempt I had. I feel like I can do better. My only criticism is that the project was not long enough to allow for more experimentation.
